Slash Style Soloing And Techniques Pt.1
I had a reader request a Slash Style tutorial and I thought the best way to show some of his style was to create a complete solo using some of his techniques.
This Part One lesson shows a full performance of the solo as well as Part One of the note-for-note tutorial breaking the solo down into smaller pieces that we can study.
Try to take some of these concepts and put them into your own playing, you will find that it is pretty easy to do as soon as you understand the concept behind it.
I am also making the backing track available for you to download so you can play along after you get the solo down AND for you to also come up with your own thing over it.

This is really excellent. I love Slash. To me he is the epitome of rock guitar (and he instigated a renaissance for me personally, after several years of being inactive at music). This confirms and clarifies several things I’ve come to in my own study of Slash, and showed me some things I didn’t know too. Thanks.
