Slash Style Soloing And Techniques Pt.2

This lesson is a continuation of our study of the guitar solo style of Slash.

The second half of the solo has a lot of more difficult aspects of Slash's style, the most of which is the fast run toward the end of the solo reminiscent of his fast ascending solo passage in "Sweet Child Of Mine".

Take your time and practice the fast runs individually before moving them across the strings as in the solo.

Make sure you download the backing track so you can play along as well.

I love learning the technique, but I also want to know why. How are you choosing the key switching? I can’t quite figure it out because you start in E minor, then go to B major, then to B minor, then to to F major and C? Everything sounds great but if I was too try to construct something on my own I wouldn’t know how.
