Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2 Guitar Lesson – Pink Floyd

In this video guitar lesson series I will show you a note-for-note breakdown of how to play the Pink Floyd classic "Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2".

The first lesson video will cover all of the chords, progressions and riffs and the second video will give you a note-for-note breakdown of David Gilmour's incredible guitar solo.

This Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2 guitar lesson starts off with some haunting octave melodies that double the main vocal melody. Be sure to keep the middle string muted like I demonstrate in the lesson.

From there the main rhythmic pattern comes in over a static D minor chord. Make sure you memorize this pattern before anything else because it will be used a lot.

Most of the chords in Another Brick In The Wall are 4 note chord voicings played on the top 4 strings. These types of chord voicings may seem a bit strange to you at first, but they are much easier to get your hands on than the full chords.

I think the most difficult section of Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2, besides the guitar solo, would be the quick descending chords that lead into the chorus. Try to keep a light touch in the fret hand and it will make those moves much easier to perform.

The second video lesson covering the solo will go live in a few days. 🙂
