Bat Country Guitar Lesson – Avenged Sevenfold

In this Bat Country guitar lesson video, I will demonstrate how to play this guitar marathon by Avenged Sevenfold in it's entirety.

The tuning is dropped "D" tuning. D A D G B E

There is a lot of stuff to learn with this one since both Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance are performing some very challenging guitar parts throughout the entire song.

Most of the rhythm guitar work is relatively simple to play but the solos and harmony guitar sections will challenge even the most experienced guitarist.

I will break down each section of the song in the order that is appears on the original recording. For the solo and harmony sections, I will teach the rhythm guitar first, followed by the solo phrase-by-phrase.

Synyster Gates' guitar solo is pretty insane and is extremely challenging. He used an enormous amount of techniques. It is best to try and tackle this solo phrase-by-phrase then put those phrases together.

Have fun tackling this monster! Carl...

    Carl,

Awesome lesson. Any chance you would consider doing Afterlife?
