Ed Sheeran – Galway Girl Guitar Lesson

In this Galway Girl guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of the guitar chords to this acoustic hit by Ed Sheeran.

To play "Galway Girl" in the same key as the original recoding, you will need to tune your guitar to standard tuning and place a capo at the 2nd fret.

For a lot of the strumming, Ed Sheeran uses the back of his nails to strum instead of using a pick. This gives the strums a little bit of a softer, more dynamic feel to them. But if you aren't comfortable with that technique, feel free to just strum with a pick instead. It will still sound great.

For a lot of the song you will be playing the same chords albeit in a different order depending on what section of the song you are in.

The verse sections also require you to be able to mute the strings in order to create that staccato feel. This makes for a great rhythm exercise by the way!

I hope you guys enjoy this one!
