Alex Lifeson conjured up some killer guitar parts for Freewill. His riffs include scale runs, single note riffs, his signature arpeggiated riffs and rapid triads that skip around the fretboard very quickly.
I will tackle each section of the song in the order that they appear on the original recording.
Alex Lifeson's solo incorporates a lot of whammy bar work, natural harmonics, pinch harmonics, triads and some very fast alternate picked licks.
