Kirk Hammet And Steve Vai Style Tapping


In this installment of the "Lick Of The Week" video guitar lesson series, we will take a look at a really cool and fun tapping lick in the style of Kirk Hammett and Steve Vai.

Kirk Hammett's solo in "One" by Metallica uses this kind of tapping lick to build a lot of tension and excitement.

Feel free to do the pick hand tap with whatever finger you are the most comfortable with. You don't have to use the same finger or tapping direction that I use, it will work just fine either way.

Pay close attention to how you should finger the notes with the fret hand because that can make or break how easily you add this kind of lick to your playing.

    have you ever heard of cannon rock? it’s one that has a lot of different techniques in it so i think people could benefit from it
