She’s Always a Woman Guitar Lesson – Billy Joel
In this She's Always a Woman guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of the chords to this beautiful song by Billy Joel on the acoustic guitar.
The tuning is standard tuning with a capo placed at the 1st fret.
In order to make a playable version of Billy Joel's piano playing on the guitar, there will be a few instances that can be a bit challenging to play, but the rewards of getting this song under your fingers far outweigh the work involved.
Throughout the song a lot of the sections repeat but there will be at times a slight variation on the chord progression. When that happens, I will tell you the exact minute and second mark it occurs at in the original recording so that you won't get lost.
I also use fingerstyle technique throughout so that I can more convincingly mimic the arppegiated patterns Billy Joel uses after the first verse to the end of the song. I basically use two different picking patterns and will demonstrate those in detail.
There are a lot of chords to get down with this one but it is well worth it! Good Luck!
