The Beatles – Can’t Buy Me Love Guitar Lesson

In this Can't Buy My Love guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of the chords for this classic by The Beatles. I will also show you how to play George Harrison's guitar solo note-for-note.

"Can't Buy Me Love" starts off with an extended chorus that is also repeated at the very end of the song. There are a couple of interesting major 6 chords thrown in there, but it is pretty simple to play.

The verse section is in a standard 12 bar blues format. They use a lot of dominant 7th chords as well. Two of those dominant 7th chords are played using bar chords.

John Lennon liked to play a dominant 7th chord form that requires a pretty large stretch for the fret-hand. I will show you how he plays that chord shape, but also give you a more simple alternative.

The chorus sections that occur within the song (not including the opening and closing chorus) are a little bit different than the previous one we learned. It is still easy to play though.

After all that, I will then break down George Harrison's guitar solo. I will break it down phrase-by-phrase like I usually do in hopes it will help you get it under your fingers as quickly as possible.

I hope you guys enjoy learning this great classic from The Beatles!
