Whitesnake – Still Of The Night Video Guitar Lessons

"Still Of The Night" was released in 1987 on Whitesnake's hugely successful self-titled album and quickly became THE signature hard rock song for Whitesnake.

Co-written by lead singer David Coverdale and guitarist John Sykes, it is a classic example of 80's hard rock at it's peak.

"Still Of The Night" is quite unusual in how it is laid out. There are many different guitar rhythms and sections to learn. Besides the HUGE main riff that is instantly recognizable, you will also learn the complete solo, rhythms and interlude section.

I have even arranged the string section part for guitar just to make sure you don't get any break at all. 🙂 .

I hope you enjoy this one. It is a lot of fun to play and is a great study in 80's rock guitar techniques. Good luck!!

Carl

You are awesome man! Missed being a member. To rejoin soon. I’ve improved more in 2 years than in 20 with other teachers. Many blessing Karl.

Hi Carl. Love the lessons. I am new to playing and was wondering if you can give me the rig settings for the songs. I’m not sure when to use chorus, reverb, tape echo or distortion. thank you. I really enjoy the way you teach.

    Nice detailed lesson… Thanks!
Any chance you might add full tempo examples for each of the solo sections to give an idea of what we need to aim for?

Great lesson, and its all the great theory and techniques I have learned from being in the academy that has helped me be able to pull this one off. Would love to one day see a lesson for ‘Crying in the Rain’. Sykes is one of the greatest 80’s guitar hero’s!
