Rock and Roll Guitar Lesson – Led Zeppelin

In this guitar lesson video for Rock and Roll, I will teach you how to play this Led Zeppelin classic in its entirety.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

This is definitely one of the funnest Led Zeppelin songs to play on the guitar. The energy level remains high throughout and the rhythm guitar parts are also quite simple to play making this song accessible to most guitar players.

The solo will present more of a challenge so it is more suitable for the intermediate and above level player.

I will tackle each section of the song in the order that each appears on original recording. I will also take a look at the little overdubs Jimmy Page throws in throughout the song.

I will then tackle Jimmy's solo mostly note-for-note. There is a little section towards the beginning of the solo that is pretty much impossible to get exactly note-for-note, but the rest of the solo is very concise and easy to learn exactly how he plays it.

Have fun learning this Led Zeppelin classic! Carl...

Hey Carl, since we’re on zepplin could you do, the girl I love with long black wavy hair? Short song but impactful, supposedly it’s a derivative from Moby Dick
