In this House Of Pain guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this awesome closing track off of Van Halen's 1984 album.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
"House Of Pain" is a collection of awesome riffs from beginning to end. It seems to move from one style to the next seamlessly and is so much fun to play.
I will demonstrate each riff in the order that each appears on the 1984 album recording.
I will also tackle both of Eddie's killer solos and fills throughout the song. As is typical with Eddie, there is so much going on here as he effortlessly combines lead and rhythm to create something that flows perfectly.

Thank you for all the Van Halen, Carl, it is very much appreciated. I never would have believed hearing Eddies music in the eighties that one day it would be possible for me to learn some of his riffs and licks, it means a lot. This is just the dogs bollocks, if you pardon the expression.
