Lindsey Buckingham Fingerstyle – Lick of The Week

In this "Lick Of The Week" lesson we are gonna take a look at a Lindsey Buckingham fingerstyle lick that will give you a nice little challenge.

This lick will require you to break down each pattern slowly and practice it over and over before trying to do it up to speed.

After you get the feel of this Lindsey Buckingham Fingerstyle lick in your hands, ramping up the speed isn't a very big deal. One of the most impressive things about this lick is that it is played throught the entire acoustic version of "Big Love". Therefore, the thumb will literally have to play about 1200 times. OUCH!!

If you start to cramp up a bit just stop and head on over to the guitar stretches video and do a few of those to loosen your hands back up. It think that you will probably need the most help with the picking hand thumb since it gets a very intense workout if you wanna play a full song with this type of lick going constantly.

This Lindsey Buckingham fingerstyle lick will also give you a great coordination workout. When everything comes together it sounds like two guitarists playing. Really a very cool effect.
