Maniac Guitar Lesson – Michael Sembello
In this Maniac guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this smash hit from Michael Sembello in its entirety.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
We are obviously dealing with a synth driven song here, but those synth riffs make for some great guitar riffs as well. This whole song translates very well to the guitar and is a lot of fun to play.
Besides all of the synth to guitar transcriptions I will be demonstrating in this lesson, I will also cover Michael Sembello's amazing guitar solo note-for-note.
This solo employs some very melodic playing along with some flashy and unorthodox tapping licks. It is one of those solos that is instantly recognizable along with the opening keyboard riff.
