Sliver Guitar Lesson – Nirvana
In this guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play "Sliver" by Nirvana note-for-note.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
This one is great for just about all levels of guitarists out there. The majority of the song is just two simple power chord based riffs.
For the main riff/chorus, Kurt tended to play it slightly different live than he did on the original recording. I will explain both ways of playing it so you can decide which one you like better. The recorded way of playing it is a bit tighter and more intense with the live version having a looser feel.
I will cover each section in the order that each appears on the original recording.
