Basic Fingerpicking Studies

This lesson begins our study of basic fingerpicking. Becoming proficient at fingerpicking on the guitar will open up a ton of sound resources not possible with just a pick alone.

In this lesson we will talk briefly about hand positioning and how to set up your picking hand fingers. Then we will learn a couple of brief musical studies that you can practice to develop your technique.

Fingerpicking may feel just a little bit awkward in the beginning, but take your time and make sure that your picking hand wrist stays in a alignment and everything should develop quite nicely.

Here is the PDF TAB download for the music studies played in the video.
