Mastering Octaves On Guitar

This lesson focuses on not only how to play octaves across all strings on the guitar, but the theory behind what an octave is as well.

Octaves are used all over the place in all types of music from popular to jazz. They create a very full yet airy sound when done correctly.

While you are watching this lesson, be sure to pay close attention the muting done by the fret hands first finger. Not muting all the strings that you aren't playing can cause a mess. 🙂

At the end of the video I demonstrate a way that you can create your own musical phrases using octaves and if you practice them like that it will be a lot more fun to you.

HAVE FUN!!

All of your video tutorials were all very helpful with the way you go through them, with all the details and technicalities that you have shown. May you be able to help more aspiring guitarists out there.
