Between Two Points Guitar Lesson – David Gilmour

In this Between Two Points guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great song off of David Gilmour's Luck and Strange album note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

We will start with the beautiful chord progression that is played throughout the entire song.

After covering that chord progression in-depth, I will then play through David's beautiful guitar solo and show you note-for-note how to play it.

This solo is classic Gilmour. If you want to learn more about how David goes about crafting a solo like this one, check out my course "The Melodic Genius of David Gilmour" available in the GL365 academy!

David, in my opinion, is THE melodic genius of the rock guitar world. He has an innate ability to take the same simple basic scale patterns virtually all guitar players know, but use them in a way that is so melodic it is hard to wrap your head around. The solo in "Between Two Points" is another fine example of this.

Have fun learning this one. I feel, as a guitar player, you can't learn enough of David Gilmour's solos. Understanding his lead guitar playing will make you a more musical player. Carl...
