Far Behind Guitar Lesson – Candlebox

In this Far Behind guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of this nineties rock classic note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

"Far Behind" has one of those guitar intros that is instantly recognizable. This opening riff is also the verse of the song and moves around the fretboard quite a bit. But it is still relatively easy to play.

The chorus and remaining riffs are more straightforward using basic power chord shapes for the most part. However, the ending section uses the well known "Hendrix chord", which is an E7#9 chord and there is also a cool descending single-note riff thrown into that section as well.

Even though "Far Behind" is a great song, I think real star of the show is guitarist Peter Klett's killer guitar solo, which leads perfectly into the more aggressive outro section of the song.

I will show you how to play this solo note-for-note.

Have fun with this nineties rock classic! Carl...
