Follow Me Up Guitar Lesson Videos – Phil Keaggy

In this Follow Me Up guitar lesson series we will take a note-for-note look at this Phil Keaggy instrumental classic.

Released in 1978 on his first instrumental album "The Master & The Musician", Follow Me Up flows along over a straight forward rhythm with soloing influenced by everything from blues to rock to fusion.

In this Follow Me Up guitar lesson I start off in the first lesson demonstrating the opening guitar rhythms along with a few guitar fills that are overdubbed in the intro.

After that the next 3 video lessons demonstrate the 3 guitar solos in their respective order.

For those of you who are not very familiar with this Phil Keaggy track I highly recommend checking it out.

Even if you don't want to learn the entire thing, I encourage you to listen to the entire track and find some cool licks or hidden guitar gems that you would like to learn.

Then simply come back to these videos to see what he is doing.

So have fun learning this underrated instrumental guitar classic by the great Phil Keaggy! 🙂

This was one of my favorite Keaggy performances growing up. I used to hate the outro though, because I didn’t want the groove to end. Thanks for showing us this one!
