Green Day – Holiday Guitar Lesson

In this Holiday guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of this Green Day hit note-for-note.

For most of "Holiday", you will be playing power chords across the fretboard. However, during the intro, they use diads that employ notes on the A and B strings. These diads are simply the root and third of the chord that they are implying. The most difficult part of playing these chords is the muting required around and between those strings. I will demonstrate how to do the muting in detail.

But for the most part, you will be playing power chords and at times they can move around the fretboard at a pretty fast pace.

I will also tackle the guitar solo note-for-note. The solo is melodic and singable and is relatively easy to play.
