Here Without You Guitar Lesson – 3 Doors Down
In this Here Without You guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this beautiful song from 3 Doors Down in its entirety.
The tuning is Eb standard tuning. That is, starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. Or if your tuner displays chromatic notes as sharps, those notes will be D# G# C# F# A# D#.
There are only three sections to cover here, the verse, chorus and bridge. The intro is simply the second half of the verse so I am not considering it as a separate section.
I will take you through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording. Some of these guitar parts can be quite the challenge. Not only is there some barre chord work (which can be difficult for some players, especially on acoustic guitar), but the arpeggiated picking requires a good amount of accuracy as well.
But, any challenges you come up against while learning this song are well worth it since it is such a beautiful song to play once you have it down.

Where do we find the tabs for the song lessons?
If I Log In I don’t Even See The Option To Enjoy The Song Lessons.
It Seems That I Have To Log Out Of The Academy And Go To The Non Member Version.
I Know I Am Probably Missing The Obvious.

Hey Stephen, the GL365 Academy is actually at a separate website. The song lessons will always be at guitarlessons365.com, which is basically an organized version of my YouTube channels.
However, if you click on the GL365 Academy in the site navigation, it takes you to a separate website and the only thing you will find there is the course content. I don’t include any TABS with the song lessons since that would be against international copyright laws. Many many YouTubers provide TAB with their lessons regardless of the legality of it, some get away with it and some don’t, but I don’t like to take that sort of chance with my lessons. 🙂
