Hey, Hey, What Can I Do Guitar Lesson – Led Zeppelin

In this Hey, Hey, What Can I Do guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great acoustic song off of Led Zeppelin's Coda album.

The tuning I will be using in this lesson is Eb standard since that is the closest to the tuning of the remastered original recording. It is actually a little bit flat of Eb standard though. The actual tuning they used in the studio isn't really known. Many people believe that they recorded it in standard tuning since there are some live performance clips of them performing it in standard tuning, and then slowed the tape down to get the lower tuning sound heard on the record. Regardless, if you want to play along with the original recording, you will need to be slightly flat of Eb standard.

Eb standard is, starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. Or if your tuner reads sharps instead of flats, the notes will be D# G# C# F# A# D#.

I will take you through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.

Have fun with this one! Carl...
