In this I'll Be Home For Christmas guitar lesson video, I will show you to play all of the chords to this great Christmas classic made popular by Bing Crosby.
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
Since I am basing this transcirption off of Bing Crosby's original 1943 recording, I will cover the gorgeous guitar intro and turnaround at the middle of the song, in addition to all of the chords.
This is one of my favorite Christmas songs, and for me, the Bing Crosby version is still the best by far.
I will take you through each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording. There are some great chord progressions here that employ a lot of jazzy harmonic ideas, like most of the popular music of that era.
