Inamorata Guitar Lesson – Metallica

In this Inamorata guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this epic song off of Metallica's 72 Seasons album note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

Inamorata was a beast of a song to transcribe. Not only is is over 11 minutes long (I think it is Metallica's longest song ever, but not sure), but it also contains multiple guitar solos and a massive guitar harmony section that includes up to 5 guitars at one point. Jeez...

In this video lesson, I will tackle all of it and break it down so that you will know how James and Kirk played the entire thing, including that killer harmony section, note-for-note.

Just as I mentioned in the lesson video. There is no live footage available of them playing "Inamorata" as of the recording of this lesson. So even though they are "probably" playing in the same positions I am teaching the parts in, it is also possible they could be playing the same notes in a different position. That is just how the guitar works and visual confirmation is usually needed to be sure, which I didn't have. In any case, the notes are the same.

Of course, there are a bunch of riffs to learn along the way and an entire clean guitar section as well.

I hope you guys are up for the journey through this one hour and twenty minute guitar lesson video. It needed to be that long to do this one justice.

Have fun! Carl...

Hi Carl, your videos are very good and you explain them very well, I just wanted to ask if you will teach more Metallica songs? I would really love to learn the other songs from 72 Season for example, but the tablatures are not always good and can be bad.
    Have fun playing!

    Best regards Aaron.
