Midlife Crisis Guitar Lesson – Faith No More

In this Midlife Crisis guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this amazing song off of Faith No More's Angel Dust album note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning E A D G B E

Jim Martin keeps it pretty simple with this one, so much so that I think an upper beginner level player can probably play it without many issues.

There is a sustaining guitar melody line that occurs in the intro and pre-chorus sections of the song. This is played with an eBow on the original recording, which is a device that allows you to infinitely sustain notes on the guitar. Live, Jim Martin just played it without an eBow from what I can tell. I won't be using an eBow during the video lesson.

The chords are pretty simple along the way with just basic power chords being used. However, Jim Martin does throw in some rhythmic variations that you will want to pay attention to in order to play the riffs correctly.

Have fun!
