My Own Worst Enemy Guitar Lesson – Lit

In this My Own Worst Enemy guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this catchy rock hit by Lit note-for-note.

The tuning is Eb standard tuning. That is, starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.

There are four separate sections we need to cover here. The first is the main riff which uses sliding staccato octaves with power chords. The verse and chorus riffs are power chord based.

I will also cover the octave guitar solo note-for-note.

I use a good portion of this lesson demonstrating how to properly mute unwanted strings when playing octaves. Octaves make for great muting practice and mastering them will make muting much easier with just about anything else you play. This is very important since half the battle of playing the guitar is muting all the unwanted strings as you play.

Have fun with this 90's era rock classic! Carl...
