Oh My Love Guitar Lesson – John Lennon – For Solo Guitar
In this Oh My Love guitar lesson video, I will teach you how to play my solo fingerstyle acoustic guitar arrangement of this beautiful song by John Lennon off of his Imagine album.
Before we get started, be sure to download the TAB for this solo guitar arrangement below.
Oh My Love - John Lennon for Solo Guitar TAB PDF Download
This arrangement will be performed and taught in standard tuning. You will basically be playing a combination of the original guitar parts, piano parts and vocal lines.
In the first video, I will perform the full arrangement. The second video will contain the tutorial teaching the full arrangement.
For the lesson itself, I am mostly taking you through the way that I finger the various guitar parts. Having the TAB there to follow along with will let us go a bit quicker through the lesson than I normally would.
There can be some tricky sections to practice as there usually is when creating solo guitar pieces. Lot's a bar chords are used throughout so hopefully you will already have a good handle on playing those.
I hope you have fun learning this beautiful song. It is well worth the practice time you will need to put into it.

I have been working on this for 2 mos and have hit a “plateau”!!!
I can play the notes, not on time and not really musically…should I continue?? If so how do I practice and should it be for an hour per day?? I can play the Etude from the acoustic section pretty well…Thanks

PS I first went to Iceland in 2001 and became a fan of Sigur Ros…to see them in Vegas in 2003 or 2004… great music that touches the soul!!!
Is there a specific point in the song that is giving you trouble? It can be a bit tricky. Maybe you could send me a quick link of you playing it so I can find any issue with the technique?
