On Fire Guitar Lesson – Van Halen
In this On Fire guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of Eddie Van Halen’s amazing guitar parts for this classic off of Van Halen I.
The tuning is Eb standard tuning. That is, starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.
Eddie throws so many unique riffs into this one, making it a blast to play. I will take you through each riff of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.
I will also show you how to play Eddie’s solo note-for-note.

You have AMAZING SOUND!! We’ve talked bout the Helix boards, but when you do a song, like this one and others – The Cult and every other song; how do you do it?? Other than just being a Guitar Bad ASSS, do you just sit and figure it out or do you download it from a website?? I’ve been doing this for a 100 yrs(ok, not that long!!) and if you have the sound of the song, it makes it easier to figure out. I REALLY Love this song(I’m a Firefighter) and I play it, correctly NOW!! Thank You!! Anyway I was wondering how you managed to get such AWESOME Sound????
