Seven Nation Army Guitar Lesson – The White Stripes

In this Seven Nation Army guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this rock classic by The White Stripes note-for-note.

The tuning that Jack White uses in "Seven Nation Army" is open A tuning. That is, starting from the 6th string, E A E A C# E. So basically, just tune up the D G and B strings up a whole-step from standard tuning. This tuning is what makes the slide guitar parts possible.

Jack White uses an Digitech Whammy pedal to take the tuning down an octave for the intro and verse sections.

Once the distortion gets kicked in, the whammy pedal is turned off.

I will cover each section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording. That includes all of the slide guitar riffs and slide guitar solo.

Have fun learning this insanely popular rock classic! Carl...

Great cover on a great song!! I’ve been a fan for years and have learned so much more through your videos. Is there A chance you could do a lesson on a song called plunder by bloodsimple. I’ve tried to learn it for years and cant. And of course there’s no tabs or lessons anywhere. You are the only one I can think of with an ear to pick it up with no problem . Any help or lessons would be much appreciated, thank you
