Fret Hand – Pick Hand Synchronization

This lesson covers every possible four finger combination you can play in the left hand.

The goal here is to alternate pick every combination the same way, while changing the pattern in the left hand.

This exercises can go a long way in developing great fret hand independence, but can also make for a great warm-up routine.

Remember, HOW YOU PRACTICE IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS WHAT YOU PRACTICE!!

The only way to get the most out of these exercises is to practice them with a metronome, probably in 16th notes. And make sure you keep the alternate picking very strict and accurate.

Here is the full list of all the possible four finger combination's in the left hand.

Good day/evening/afternoon Carl. I have a question regarding something I just don’t understand. Steven Clark from Def Leppard is my idol. And I honestly any time would listen to him over Jimmy Page(Steven’s idol). But Steve said Jimmy Page is an EXCEPTIONALLY clever rhythm player. What I don’t understand is how can a person be a clever rhythm player and an exceptionally clever one and what makes Jimmy Page that? Thank you, have a great day.
