In this Beautiful Girls guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great Van Halen classic off of their Van Halen II album.
The tuning is Eb standard. That is, starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.
There are some really cool riffs in this one! Some of these riffs can be a bit tricky rhythmically, and of course, Eddie is always throwing in some really cool fills all over the place.
I will tackle each riff in the order that each appears on the original recording. This lesson video will cover all of the riffs and fills along with the main solo.
However, for the outro section, instead of attempting to cover each of those fills note-for-note, I will instead demonstrate the underlying riff, along with the scale types that Eddie is using during that part of the song to create those fills. That way, you can improvise your own thing there, just like Eddie does.
Have fun with this awesome song from the incomparable Van Halen!
