Blackened 2020 Guitar Lesson – Metallica
In this Blackened 2020 guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this 'mostly' acoustic reworking of this Metallica classic, along with Kirk Hammett's guitar solo.

This stripped down version of Blackened has some really cool elements about it. It is also A LOT easier to play that the original "Blackened" off of the And Justice For All album.
I will take you through each acoustic section of the song in the order that each appears on the recording. The acoustic parts are played by James Hetfield.
I will then switch to electric and show you how to play some of Kirk Hammett's fills as well as his solo. This solo uses the E Phrygian Dominant mode and has some really cool licks and melodies in it.
