Cemetery Gates Guitar Lesson – Pantera

In this Cemetery Gates guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of Dimebag's guitar parts for this Pantera classic note-for-note.

As I mention in the video, the tuning is typical of Dimebag in that he is tuned around halfway between standard pitch and one half-step down. I will be teaching the lesson in standard pitch though. If want to tune your guitar exact with the original recording, start with the tuning one half-step town then tune each string up 42 cents.

There are of course many different sections to "Cemetery Gates", including the clean guitar/acoustic intro, the intro solo, the main heavy riff and more. I will be going through each section of the song in the order that it appears on the original recording.

That includes Dimebag's incredible guitar solo. This solo contains many signature Dimebag licks and will be a challenge to virtually any level of guitarist.

I will also go into the incredible harmonic screams that Dimebag performs in the outro section. I will demonstrate how Dimebag actually performed those harmonics, along with a way to sort of cheat it and make it much easier to perform.

Good luck with this monster!
