Disposable Heroes Guitar Lesson – Metallica

In this Disposable Heroes guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this Metallica classic note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning.

"Disposable Heroes" is full of absolutely crushing guitar riffs. I will demonstrate each riff in the order that they appear in the song.

Along the way, I will show you any fills or short melodies played by Kirk Hammett.

At the end of the video, I will show you how to play Kirk Hammett's amazing solo note-for-note. This solo is a pretty long one clocking in at around a minute long. Along the way Kirk goes back and forth through bluesy melodic playing to scorching picking and legato licks.

It is a lot of fun to play and I hope you enjoy learning it. It is definitely one of my favorite Kirk Hammett solos.

Learning this song has made me a lot better player. That solo is way too far out of league but I am going to keep trying because I said that about Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody and I recently posted a video with that song and solo on my instagram. I just wanted to tell you I appreciate what you do and always tag my videos with #guitarlessons365. You’ve taught me a lot on guitar and it has done a lot for my mental health. I have no song requests just a genuine thanks for all that you do from one teacher(not guitar) to another.
