Domination Guitar Lesson – Pantera
In this Domination guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this incredible song off of Pantera's 1990 album Cowboys From Hell in it's entirety.
The tuning is standard tuning.
Dimebag's riffs in "Domination" are just sick. From the very challenging to the relatively easy but with an absolutely crushing groove, it is all here.
I will demonstrate each riff in the order that it appears in the song.
Dimebag's main solo is, as usual, completely insane. The main solo consists of his patented harmonic squeals, tricky cross string licks, huge vibrato, mind-boggling legato licks using massive stretches and warp speed alternate picked madness. Sound fun?
I will take you through the solo phrase-by-phrase.
I will also cover the solo found in the breakdown section. This solo consists of a repeated alternate picked lick that is harmonized by a minor 3rd. I will show two harmony parts.
