Du Hast Guitar Lesson – Rammstein

When Rammstein released "Du Hast", the in your face guitar tone and driving riffs propelled it to the top of the charts all over the world. The sound was so cool that it didn't matter that the whole song was sung in German. It simply rocked!

In this Du Hast guitar lesson, I will show you note-for-note how to play these killer riffs so you can rock out a little as well.

You will be tuned to standard for this lesson and it will also be helpful to get a nice aggressive distortion tone to practice with.

The whole song contains just two riffs using power chords based off of the 6th string. The rhythm will be the main focus here. You will want to try and get a nice tight palm muted sound for most of the picking.

You will be going back and forth between this muted picking style and ascending and descending power chord slides. If you are a beginner level guitarist, I think you can still learn this song. However, you will probably need to work on those descending slides more than the ascending ones since they usually give guitarists a little bit more trouble.

Well that is all I have to say about this quick lesson that demonstrates how less is definitely more in the right hands! Rock Out!
