Even though it was originally a string arrangement, we aren't going to let that stop us. It actually works quite well on the guitar and isn't very hard to play. In fact, most of the song is based around two simple chords and a staccato rhythm.
The main difficulty for most players will probably be the challenge of keeping a bass note ringing while muting the other notes in the chord to help create that staccato feel. I will demonstrate how to do this at the very beginning of the lesson so make sure you can do that before learning the chords.
This Earned It guitar lesson will pretty much be based around two chords with a moving bass line that brings us back to the repeat each time. However, the ending section of the song contains some different chord forms and a different overall chord progression.
These chords all work very well on the guitar and it is very easy to recreate the orchestral chord progression on the guitar without very much playing difficulty.
So give this lesson a few minutes of your time then go and impress your friends by playing music originally done on orchestral strings on the guitar! Have Fun!
