There are some great rhythms to practice for this one. If you have a hard time creating percussive guitar strumming patterns that incorporate both chord hits along with muted strums, this is a great song for you to practice. There is lots of left hand muting involved that has to be timed perfectly with the strumming patterns.
We will be using a standard tuned acoustic guitar for this one.
There are basically 3 parts to the song. The verse which rotates between B major and E major chords while employing that instantly recognizable funky rhythm.
After that is the pre-chorus, which uses those same two chords in the fist half but then extends the chord progression at the end.
And finally the chorus, which just consists on that cool rhythm on a simple B major chord.
