Ghost – Rats Guitar Lesson

In this Rats guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this awesome song by Ghost note-for-note.

The tuning is D standard which requires you to tune every string down a whole-step. Starting from the 6th string, D G C F A D.

Though a lot of the riffs, you may see two different versions of the same chords. Typically, they like to play different voicings of the same chords within certain parts of the riff, while at other times they will both be playing the same thing.

I will go through each section of the song in the order that they appears.

You will find a lot of harmony guitar work throughout the song and I will break each part down separately. Hopefully, you will have a second guitarist to jam with so that you can put these harmony lines together.

The coolest harmony section in my opinion is the interlude that happens right before the solo. It is probably my favorite part of the song and works really well within the rest of the more aggressive parts of the song.

The solo has some challenging licks as well but is very melodic and fun to play. I will take you through it phrase-by-phrase.

There is a lot of cool guitar stuff to learn in this one so I hope you enjoy it!
