Happy XMAS (War Is Over) Guitar Lesson Video – John Lennon

In this Happy XMAS (War Is Over) guitar lesson video you will learn every note of John Lennon's classic Christmas/protest song.

It was released as a single by John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band in 1971 and was recorded with the Harlem Community Choir.

Happy XMAS (War Is Over) is a very simple song to play and you should get it down relatively easy no matter what playing level you are at.

This Happy XMAS (War Is Over) guitar lesson examines Lennon's liberal use of suspended chords in this song, which makes for some very beautiful guitar parts.

This is just another example of Lennon's legendary ability to make simple songs so magical in their delivery.

Happy XMAS (War Is Over) has now become a Christmas classic and would be a great sing along at all those Christmas parties!

Have fun with this John Lennon classic!!

I believe in this video I am using a guitar by a guitar maker called Great Divide. They are actually quite inexpensive but very good guitars for the money. 🙂

I would love to but posting chord charts or TAB for songs under international copyright can get me in trouble. 🙁

doesn’t the advertising give you some form of royalties? If not they should and by the way great site I tell everybody about guitarlessons365.com

    • Carl Brown on May 5, 2014 at 10:21 am

Not on any song lessons. That ad money goes to the song’s publishing company via Google. 🙁
