In this Hit The Lights guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great track off of Metallica's Kill 'Em All album note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning.

There are some great riffs in this one and I will take you through each one in the order that each appears in the song.

There are also multiple lead guitar breaks. Two short ones and the main guitar solo at the end of the song. This long solo features Kirk Hammett flying through many blues based licks, fast pentatonic patterns, repeated legato licks and more.

As I mention in the video lesson, many of these licks would be very hard to get note-for-note since they weren't performed in any sort of composed way. Kirk played in slightly differently each time. These days, he seems to improvise most of this solo live.
