I Stay Away Guitar Lesson – Alice In Chains
In this I Stay Away guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this amazing song by Alice In Chains in it's entirety.
The tuning is Droped C# tuning. That is, starting from the 6th string, C# G# C# F# A# D#. Or if your tuner shows flats instead of sharps, those notes will be Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.
The video lesson starts with me tackling Jerry Cantrell's instantly recognizable 12-string acoustic riff. I will be teaching this on a 12-string acoustic as well, but it still sounds great on a 6-string acoustic.
After the acoustic parts, I will then grab my electric for the pre-chorus and chorus sections. I will also take you through Jerry Cantrell's solo note-for-note.
