I Will Follow Guitar Lesson – U2
In this I Will Follow guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this early classic from U2 note-for-note.
First, we will be using the original Eb tuning. That will be, starting from the 6th string, (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb).
The Edge dominates this track with a powerful two string main riff. Throughout the song, he will play this riff with some slight variations and I will explain those when they pop up.
There are also a few guitar overdubs, especially during the verse and chorus sections. I will demonstrate how to play both parts even though it will sound fine just playing the highest guitar part, especially if you are playing along with a bass player.
The verse and chorus sections are very similar as well. In addition, there are a few variations played in which I will demonstrate.
The middle bridge section consists of some easy natural harmonics and shouldn't cause you too much trouble.
I think this would be a great song for the upper-beginner and above level guitarists. It is a lot of fun to play no matter what your level is.
Have fun!

Hi
I’ve grown better at guitar because of you. Thank you for doing what you do. I would really enjoy seeing you play all guitar parts from Umphrey’s McGee’s song Attachments. Of course a lesson on each part would be fantastic. I would like to see you jamming out to it though the most. There is something in the Umphrey’s McGee song I mentioned above that is taking me somewhere on the guitar I haven’t been to before and I like it and would like to get better at it. However long you would make it, I would watch it. And I know I would learn from it. Big fan of your work.
Thank you
ps the solo at the end of crowded houses song “When you come” live in Sydney Farwell event. that is a very cool lick Mark Hart is shredding. I would like to see you do that too.
