The tuning in standard tuning.
For the first part of this tutorial, I will show you how to play all of the chords on acoustic guitar. Since the song was originally performed mostly on piano, it will require us play a lot of barre chords across the full range of the guitar.
This makes Killer Queen a great guitar chord workout. Along the way, I will also show you some of the guitar fills that Brian May plays.
Speaking of those Brian May guitar parts, there are many guitar tracks with harmonized lines and counterpoint all over the place. So I will try and incorporate the most important of those guitar lines, like he usually performs them live but without all of the harmony work.
In the second part of the video I will take you note-for-note through Brian May's incredible guitar solo. There are a lot of challenging licks in this solo from the precise pre-bends to fast ascending pull-offs. However, the solo stays very musical throughout making is more memorable and easier to learn.
I hope you guys enjoy learning this Queen classic as much as I did putting this lesson together!
