"Mony Mony" was originally released in 1968 by the American pop rock band Tommy James and the Shondells. It was a huge hit then, well before Billy Idol made his cover version in 1981.
Billy Idol has a couple of popular versions of Mony Mony, including a live version with guitarist Steve Stevens in 1987. However, this lesson will be focused on Billy Idol's original release of "Mony Mony" from his 1981 Don't Stop EP. The guitarist on this version was Aseley Otten.
Everything here is pretty simple to play and a lot of fun as well.
