Over The Mountain Guitar Lesson – Ozzy Osbourne

In this Over The Mountain guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all the great guitar work by Randy Rhoads in this Ozzy Osbourne classic.

The tuning is Eb standard tuning. That is, starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.

This is one of the most requested Randy Rhoads era Ozzy tracks here at GL365. I will go through each of Randy's killer riffs and the variations he plays throughout the song as well.

The solo that Randy played in "Over The Mountain" is one of his most popular. He incorporates an octave pedal at the beginning of the solo and I talk about the various ways you can recreate that section in-depth.

Randy employs a very cool legato based descending lick in both the main solo and outro solo. You will also hear liberal use of the whammy bar along with some challenging picking sequences in this solo.

Have fun with this one! Carl…
