Pressure Guitar Lesson – Muse

In this Pressure guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this fun track by Muse note-for-note.

The tuning is standard tuning.

The opening melody occurs mostly along the G string. There are some slight differences on how you will see him play it live versus the album version. I will talk about those in the video, but stick with demonstrating how it is played on the album.

Out of that opening melody/verse, Matthew Bellamy launches into a cool riff that moves down the D string and is eventually played one octave lower along the E string. Throughout the song, there are some slight alterations made to the riff along the E string and I will cover those in detail.

The chorus has two separate guitar parts. The first one you will hear moves around quite a lot and can be a little tricky to get under your fingers initially. This riff is played twice in the chorus and during the second time through it Bellamy adds some higher voiced triads. Live he usually opts to play these triads instead of continuing with the other riff. I will show you how to play both parts.

I will teach each section of the song in the order that it appears on the original recording.

Have fun!
