Satch Boogie Guitar Lesson Videos – Joe Satriani

These Satch Boogie guitar lesson videos are brought to you by popular demand!

Satch Boogie was the fifth track off of Joe Satriani's classic Surfing with the Alien album and was voted as the 55th best guitar solo of all time by Guitar World magazine readers.

This song is unbelievably fun to play once you get all the sections down. These Satch Boogie guitar lesson videos consist of over an hour's worth of step-by-step instructions on how to play each section of the song.

You will be playing Satch Boogie in no time!

Satch Boogie is quite challenging as a lot of Joe Satriani's material is, but the reward of playing this show stopper is well worth the effort.

Besides Satch Boogie being one of Joe Satriani's most popular songs, it is also a great study in many aspects of his playing. From the blues influenced runs, legato passages and lengthy tapping sections there is something here for everyone to add to their playing. ๐Ÿ˜€

I have broken these Satch Boogie guitar lesson videos up into four separate sections, each with its own video lesson. Good luck!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Wish I could Dave, but the GNR folks don’t like me doing lessons of their songs so I can’t. Bummer I know… ๐Ÿ™

Oh but there is a couple GNR song tutorials on my YouTube channel, Sweet Child and Paradise City can be found on the GuitarLessons365song YouTube channel. ๐Ÿ™‚

Carl, are you planning on doing more Eric Johnson? Joe Satriani? “SRV”, “Camels Night Out”, “Venus Isle”, “When The Sun Meets The Sky”, “Flying In A Blue Dream”, “Until We Say Goodby”. These would be some good songs to try to learn! Thanks again for your excellent instructionals and playing. MH

Great videos! I’m so happy that you have covered so many songs so well! Do you think you’d be willing to do Motorcycle Driver? I think it’s a great intermediate song with some advanced riffs!

Thanks to you, Carl, I can play Satch boogie (slowly, but a little quicker every day)…never thought it possible ๐Ÿ™‚ Would you please describe the amp you’re using for this lesson and rough settings? I’ve fiddled with my Vypyr every way i can think and i still haven’t even gotten close.

Hey Mike, I use used a Line 6 POD HD500 for this lesson. Since it was ages ago there is no way I would be able to remember the settings I used.

      Really sorry about that. ๐Ÿ™

Carl, I have a special request. Is there any way you can teach how to play Conniption #9 by Dave Dunlop? The video for it is on YouTube. I know he is not a very well known player, but I would LOVE to learn how to play this song! It is very catchy and looks like it would be a blast to play! Thanks!

Carl you are a great teacher! Thank you. I wish you did a cover of the song as the last lesson. I know you do it on some song but not always. It is super helpful when I try to play along with you and can watch your hands.๐Ÿ‘
