Take Me Home Tonight Guitar Lesson – Eddie Money

In this Take Me Home Tonight guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this smash hit by Eddie Money in it's entirety.

The tuning is Eb standard, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb.

The main guitar riff mirrors the opening synth melody. It uses some cool chord voicings in an arpeggiated picking style.

From there we have the pre-chorus, which uses a repeated G Lydian progression of G - A/G. I will show you how this is broken up across two guitars on the original recording in addition to how to play it on one.

The chorus is very straightforward and tons of fun to play!

The bridge changes things up slightly and has a sax solo over part of it. I will show you the chords and recommend the scales you need to play for your own solo there.

Have fun with this one! Carl...
